The One Health Seminar Series is a monthly online event organized by the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Science Outreach and Pandemic Preparedness (LBI SOAP) at the Medical University of Vienna.

General registration for One Health Seminar

This seminar series aims to make One Health research accessible to a broad audience, including the general public. Each session features a 40-minute talk in English by a guest speaker, followed by 15–20 minutes of discussion and Q&A. We encourage our speakers to present their work in an engaging and understandable way for non-specialists.

Whether you’re a student, professional, or simply curious about how human, animal, and environmental health are interconnected, we warmly invite you to join us and be part of the conversation.

Or: Why more information does not automatically lead to more knowledge

More scientific information does not automatically lead to more knowledge. Knowledge is created when new content is processed successfully. This works best when information is presented in a way that connects with the audience and links to what they already know. This article presents selected findings from psychological research that can improve science communication in talks and presentations.
